Alan May - Director of Global and Local Operations
Fostering genuine community and making others feel at home flows from Alan’s gifts of hospitality and compassion. Domestic and international business experience combined with non-profit experience abroad serving AIDS orphans, and at home serving refugees and inner city at-risk children has equipped him to direct The Sero Project’s local and global community development projects.
Alan hails from the Vollintine-Evergreen community of mid-town Memphis, TN. He spent his formative years in Parkway Village of east Memphis and calls Memphis his home. He also feels at home in Alaska where he spent nine years and in Kenya, East Africa where he and his wife Pam lived several years and established The Haven, a home for AIDS orphans and abandoned children. Coming full circle, he again resides in the Vollintine-Evergreen Historic District of Memphis.
